As always, Happy Canada Day! What 1001 books are you reading to start off the second half of the year?

I will continue on with Anniversaries, of course, and finish The Golden Notebook. I've started Three Lives and will also read A Man of Feeling.

I'm still listening to Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison. I'm not getting much listening time so it is going slowly but I am loving it.

I currently have no time to myself to read and it's making me cranky!

I've just finished Love Medicine and am planning to start Howards End next.

I'm currently reading Deep Rivers by Jose Maria Arguedas, which I started for last month's challenge to read a book by a non-UK/US author; it about Ernesto and his father, a lawyer, traveling across Peru. I'm enjoying it so far.

I'm still reading David Copperfield, and have been since April. I'm taking my time with it. Like many fond parents, I have in my heart of hearts a favorite child. And his name might be David Copperfield.

>8 MartinBodek: It is fantastic, isn't it? I was on the fence with Dickens until I got to this one.

I'm starting Go Tell it on the Mountain by James Baldwin and I'll also read Castle Richmond by Anthony Trollope. The latter is a group read - I'll post a link when it's up in case anyone wants to join.

I am currently reading The Fan Man by William Kotzwinkle. It's an odd little book but I have laughed out loud several times while reading it which is a good thing.
