Rozanne's philosophy of cooking is so appealing to me - a few quality ingredients, cooked properly, with flavorful results. I have found her recipes are great for putting together a rather quick week night meal. Last night, I made the roasted asparagus with fried capers. It was easy, delicious and bursting with flavor.

This learn-to-cook guide includes over 125 recipes, each requiring only three ingredients. Many recipes include variations on a theme, such as "A Can of Tuna Fish ... Four Things to Do with It." A team of thirteen sous-chefs, ages 10-16, assisted the author in her test kitchen, evaluating taste, technique, and interest level. In addition to breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, and dessert ideas, a getting started guide on kitchen basics is included.
