The Little Snake par A.L. Kennedy
An absolutely wonderful short story. It’s poignant and heartwarming. Lanmo is an incredible character and the depth this book manages to reach is profound considering its simplicity. I loved it so very much.
beautiful writing very cosy even if the subject matter wasn’t
Not the best Who book unfortunately. The story is ok, typical old-school Dr who story, the main characters are likeable but the prose of the book and mainly the inner monologue of the Doctor was very off-putting and just wrong.
Kennedy is a very good writer, with good humour and self-awareness. Unfortunately, the first section is a collection of blog posts that were probably very amusing when read individually (with days or weeks apart) but as a block are rather repetitive and lack pacing. Shame on the editor.
