The New Year

I don't know about anyone else, but every January I go back and read favorite books and series. Of course, the Outlander series is on that list, as well as some of my favorite Nora Roberts/JD Robb books, and then other books I have cherished since my childhood that I still love: Little Women and Charlotte's Web, the first book I ever bought for myself. Does anyone else do this, and if so, what do you read?

It's amazing to me how every January I want to seek that comfort zone I find myself in surrounded by the books that I love. It has become a yearly ritual for me and I am glad to know that others participate. I forgot to mention one that I now read on an annual basis (actually more often than that, and I buy it for every reader I know) and that is Ex Libris: Confessions of a Common Reader by Anne Fadiman, a lovely book of essays on reading. If you are a lover of books about books like I am, you might want to give it a try.

I received Fiery Cross and A Breath of Snow and Ashes for Christmas. Last year I read the first four in the series. I am looking forward to reading them for the first time here soon.

Hi I'm new to this group.
I finished Outlander last week and am going to put it on my TBR again pile. I picked up Dragonfly in Amber and Voyager the same day I finished Outlander. I think this saga will take up most of my reading time for a while.

The Outlander books are well worth the time to read. It is a great series and I think you will truly find it enjoyable.

I heard there will be a 7th book in the series...have any of you heard the same thing?

Yes, they will take up your reading time, cjlib! But they're so awesome. I would find myself reading them instead of homework during my last semester of college, hehe.
