Interesting what if metaphorical approach that can give a fresh look at the issues but don't think that was the intention. Useful for getting a focus of the reader on the language, but all the other aspects from historical context, cultural norms, authorship etc has to be taken into account. But so we should or we read it with 21st century eyes. AND We need to reflect on the meanings as 21st century moral beings!
