Katherine Paterson was born in Qing Jiang, Jiangsu, China in 1932. She attended King College in Bristol, Tennessee and then graduate school in Virginia where she studied Bible and Christian education. Before going to graduate school, she was a teacher for one year and after graduate school, she afficher plus moved to Japan to be a missionary. Her first book, Sign of the Chrysanthemum was published in 1991. Other titles to follow included The Bridge to Terabithia and Jacod Have I Loved which both won her a Newbery Award, The Great Gilly Hopkins, Lyddie and The Master Puppeteer. In addition to the Newbery Award, she is the recipient of numerous others including the Scott O'Dell Award, the National Book Award for Children's Literature, the American Book Award, the American Library Association's Best Books for Young Adults Award and the New York Times Outstanding Books of the Year Award. - Katherine Paterson was born in China, where she spent part of her early childhood. After her education in China and the American South, she spent four years in Japan. The Night of His Birth par Katherine Paterson
Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing.I fell completely in love with this book. It tells the story of Christ's birth from Mary's point of view. The illustrations took my breath away. They are full of color and life. It brought the story to life in such an intimate way. An absolute treasure that will be a Christmas tradition to read in our home for years to come.

This novel is exactly what a good children's book should be, in my opinion. It's got a relatable protagonist, a well-paced interesting plot, and emotional highs and lows. I'm very glad I finally took time to read this.
This follows the story of Jesse who makes friends with Leslie. The friends explore their creativity where they are the rulers of their own world. This would be a good book to have in the classroom because it will encourage students to explore their creativity and how much it can help them get through issues in their real lives. In mathematics, it isn't always about logic and we want students to explore their creativity and ask questions.
