I'm very impressed with this author. Both books I've read so were really good. I couldn't put this one down once I started. :)
I didn't care for this story. They were a little boring, although I can't wait to read TJ/Nick's story.
There were a lot of parts of this book that I liked, but (especially in the second half) it felt like the romance was overwhelmed by the weight of too many side-plots.
My stream of consciousness review:
Funny, sexy, interesting characters. Good world-building: I like that it's nuanced and it shows possible negative consequences for pre-destined mates. The pacing is really fast. My only real complaint is that it feels like a big, rich story was shoved into a too-small box. There's a lot left unexplained at the end and some of the transitions were head-spinningly fast. So, nutshell: I enjoyed what was written but would have liked more. All this from a debut author, though? That makes me really interested to see what she does in the future.… (plus d'informations)
