Potted histories of eminent people that figure in various strands of human activity and mentioned in most school curriculums: They range from Archimedes to Karl Marx , Hernando Cortes, Cardinal Richelieu and Churchill. The 'Great Women' section is disappointingly small and standard.. Cleopatra to Florence Nightingale divided by only 5 more names! 95 Great Men!!!

All these stories claim to have a factual basis, although fact can become embellished over years of confusion. There are careful researchers and more popular authors represented in this collection of horrific tales.
