I'm interested in reading some of Gurdjeff's work. Anyone have a recommendation of where to start?

I'd start with Gurdjieff's Meetings With Remarkable Men and Ouspensky's In Search of the Miraculous, and perhaps J.G. Bennett's Witness: The autobiography of John Bennett ... they're the "easy" bits and will give you touchpoints on which to build if you want to start delving into the whole "Fourth Way" genre.

The Fourth Way genre being what?

Aside from the books actually by Gurdjieff, Ouspensky, Bennett, etc., there are hundreds of books about them, and further hundreds of authors who have varyingly close ties (as students, associates, etc.) with books presenting their own take on the material.

A new way, not that of the fakir, the yogi or the monk.
