Found: YA book about High School feminist club that becomes violent

I am trying to remember a book I read in either middle or high school in the 80's. It was about a girls only club led by a female teacher, who it seems hated men herself, so she sets the club up as a female empowerment group, but encourages the girls in the club to wreak punishment on any male who has wronged them. I remember one girl in the group has a boyfriend, who I think speaks out against the group so she breaks up with him, but then the club decides he needs further punishment so they lure him to a secluded spot at night and then beat him up. I also remember one of the girls is very shy and has a facial tic, her mother is in an abusive marriage with either the girl's father or stepfather. He ends up putting the mother in the hospital towards the end of the book and then kind of threatens the daughter and then demands she fix him dinner, and she ends up killing him. I can't remember the cover or who wrote it, but I think the title may have been the name of the club. Does anyone else remember this book?

Oh! I just remembered it - The Daughters of Eve by Lois Duncan.
