Romance

I am not normally a romance reader. However, I have been liking the idea if enemy into lover type book. I don't want it to be just smut and since romance is normally not my genre, I have zero clue where to start.

Well, you can’t go wrong beginning with Pride and Prejudice. Or were you thinking modern takes?
It’s a well worn trope, with friction between the two characters furnishing lots of material. If you want it funny too, try The Rosie Project. If light fantasy is okay, try Garden Spells.

I would suggest one of the many Georgette Heyer books.

This is how you lose the time war is a bit weird, but it does fit the enemies to lovers thing. :)
