I don't know of a good biography, but I don't think his life was uneventful. The discovery of Cardinal Newman, and the conversion to Catholicism against the philosophy and wishes of his family were powerfully important, as was the decision to become a priest. Also, there was a prohibition against writing poetry by the Jesuits at some point; I don't remember which. Sending him to Dublin to teach was eventful because it made him unhappy. His literary friendship with Robert Bridges, and his struggles to write were important, but the most important of all was the development of his "new" method of sprung rhythm, and his struggles to perfect it. The music and rhythm of his poetry is magical IMO and I'm sure there is a literary biography somewhere.
