What is it like to live in a literary family, surrounded by readers? That is what one finds in this uncommon biography of the husband of one of the most famous literary translators of our time. Edward Garnet's life was one that involved identifying and nurturing some of the greatest literary talents of the twentieth century. As a voracious reader myself I found it to be a fascinating life.
