This is a brilliant book -- I wish I would have found and read it years earlier, it would have helped me understand many things more broadly and place them in a better and more useful perspective. The illustrations in the hardcover are MUCH better than in the paperback.

È un dizionario ma funziona solo a partire dall’eufemismo, non dal significato: se cerchi horse o caballo o angel o tragic magic, li troverai non sotto “heroin” bensì sotto “BOY”nel capitolo “Crime and punishment”. Anche questo è un libro interessante da leggere ogni tanto ma molto di meno, direi, per il traduttore che cerca una parola all’istante.
