Huge variety of recipes, most of them fairly simple. One minor quibble, it doesn't mention that Barley contains gluten and to be aware of it if preparing for sensitive people in the piece on Barley.

This is one of the most comprehensive guides on ayurveda that I have come across. It has beautiful illustrations and explains all the different aspects of ayurveda in great depth. Definitely recommended for anyone who wants to learn more about this ancient art of healing.

Comprehensive guide to growing veg, fruit and herbs.

Each entry gives a brief overview of the history of the plant, internal/external use, information on how to grow, bullet point list of what ailments they can be used to treat and a few recipes and remedies. Illustrated with photos of the plant and it's fruit.

The Natural Kitchen Garden section covers design and how to garden organically as well as princples of cultivation, pruning and propagation. Also sections on storing and presrving produce and making natural remedies.

Great starter book for someone wanting to develop a kitche/herb garden.
