Definitely a sweet read. The dog plot line worked well for bringing the two closer together. The ending felt rushed to me.

I'm voluntarily reviewing a free advance reader copy I received from the author.

Chase is an asexual guy who really wants romance. He's looking for a nice guy to fall in love with and cuddle, but is having a hard time because most guys run off when finding out he has very little interest in sex. He loves dogs, and spends time volunteering at an animal shelter. Chase meets Morgan one night when Chase sees a dog wandering out in the cold and is trying to get her. Morgan sees him and helps out. They have an attraction to each other, and eventually they decide to get to know each other.

I loved the inclusion of an asexual MC. We really got to understand Chase's feelings, and Morgan was such a nice guy who was truly interested in Chase. He didn't understand Chase at first, but he made the effort to really try to understand, and it was beautiful. While there was sex in the book, I thought it was so well written and made so much sense. I really enjoyed this book, and hope to see more asexual characters written as well as Chase.

Brody hasn't seen Luke since college. They were best friends growing up and then eventually became boyfriends in college, but Brody struggled with being out and refused to be with Luke 100%. After breaking up, Brody spiraled into years of unhappiness. He drank too much, had a temper, and got into a lot of fights. He tried hard to deny who he was and hid from the world. He started to realize that the life he was living wasn't the one he wanted to keep moving forward with. He decided to cut back on the drinking and focus on ways to make himself feel happy again.

Everything crashed even more wide open for him when Luke moved back to town to help his parents. The attraction and feelings were still there, and Brody found himself wanting to be a better person for both himself and for Luke. Time didn't make things awkward; it actually made things stronger because if they decide to move forward now, it is with all of the information and expectations.

I really liked these two together. Brody had so much healing to do, and Luke was such a solid, warm, and sweet presence. Brody was reminded how good it felt to let someone in again, and reconnected with his family. This was a feel good story with lots of promise for these two. I enjoyed reading it a lot.

Sebastian is the cop we met in [b:Just Love|28779535|Just Love (Coastal Charm, #1)|Casey Ashwood|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1453904197s/28779535.jpg|48987396] (Dusty's friend). He is a bit of a playboy who is starting to get jealous of the happiness he sees Dusty and Milo have. Cody is a police dispatcher who recently moved to town. They have an instant attraction to each other, but Cody is determined to keep his love life out of the workplace.

I really loved Sebastian. He is a guy who doesn't care what others think about him and who lives life exactly how he wants to. He is outgoing and can be obnoxious, but for those who take the time to see the real him, he is sweet and caring, and adorable. Cody was a cutie. Burned in the past by inconsiderate co-worker that he had a fling with, Cody was very hesitant to pursue anything with Sebastian. At first, Sebastian saw Cody's lack in "interest" as a challenge, but it was their spark and the intensity that Sebastian felt for Cody unexpectedly that Sebastian see it differently. There was not a lot of angst in the story, and I appreciated it that. This was a sweet story with a comfortable feeling. Definitely what I needed for my "sweet" mood.
