Definitely a sweet read. The dog plot line worked well for bringing the two closer together. The ending felt rushed to me.

Chase is an asexual guy who really wants romance. He's looking for a nice guy to fall in love with and cuddle, but is having a hard time because most guys run off when finding out he has very little interest in sex. He loves dogs, and spends time volunteering at an animal shelter. Chase meets Morgan one night when Chase sees a dog wandering out in the cold and is trying to get her. Morgan sees him and helps out. They have an attraction to each other, and eventually they decide to get to know each other.

I loved the inclusion of an asexual MC. We really got to understand Chase's feelings, and Morgan was such a nice guy who was truly interested in Chase. He didn't understand Chase at first, but he made the effort to really try to understand, and it was beautiful. While there was sex in the book, I thought it was so well written and made so much sense. I really enjoyed this book, and hope to see more asexual characters written as well as Chase.

Brody hasn't seen Luke since college. They were best friends growing up and then eventually became boyfriends in college, but Brody struggled with being out and refused to be with Luke 100%. After breaking up, Brody spiraled into years of unhappiness. He drank too much, had a temper, and got into a lot of fights. He tried hard to deny who he was and hid from the world. He started to realize that the life he was living wasn't the one he wanted to keep moving forward with. He decided to cut back on the drinking and focus on ways to make himself feel happy again.

Everything crashed even more wide open for him when Luke moved back to town to help his parents. The attraction and feelings were still there, and Brody found himself wanting to be a better person for both himself and for Luke. Time didn't make things awkward; it actually made things stronger because if they decide to move forward now, it is with all of the information and expectations.

I really liked these two together. Brody had so much healing to do, and Luke was such a solid, warm, and sweet presence. Brody was reminded how good it felt to let someone in again, and reconnected with his family. This was a feel good story with lots of promise for these two. I enjoyed reading it a lot.

Sebastian is the cop we met in [b:Just Love|28779535|Just Love (Coastal Charm, #1)|Casey Ashwood|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1453904197s/28779535.jpg|48987396] (Dusty's friend). He is a bit of a playboy who is starting to get jealous of the happiness he sees Dusty and Milo have. Cody is a police dispatcher who recently moved to town. They have an instant attraction to each other, but Cody is determined to keep his love life out of the workplace.

I really loved Sebastian. He is a guy who doesn't care what others think about him and who lives life exactly how he wants to. He is outgoing and can be obnoxious, but for those who take the time to see the real him, he is sweet and caring, and adorable. Cody was a cutie. Burned in the past by inconsiderate co-worker that he had a fling with, Cody was very hesitant to pursue anything with Sebastian. At first, Sebastian saw Cody's lack in "interest" as a challenge, but it was their spark and the intensity that Sebastian felt for Cody unexpectedly that Sebastian see it differently. There was not a lot of angst in the story, and I appreciated it that. This was a sweet story with a comfortable feeling. Definitely what I needed for my "sweet" mood.

Milo, Milo, Milo. I really felt for Milo as the story began. His boyfriend has been acting weird and Milo thinks he might be cheating on him. He decides to hire a private investigator to find out. Dusty is the sexy PI, and Milo can't stop thinking about him. Dusty doesn't want to get involved with a client, and has past baggage that causes him to be distant. Once the case is over, however, Dusty and Milo become closer. They both have things to work through in order to trust others and to open their hearts, but they work through it in the book without much angst (which was refreshing when I wanted a nice, sweet book).

I loved these characters. The author's writing style was very calm and fresh. I enjoyed the style. This was the first book I've read from this author, but I look forward to reading more!

This was more of a 3.5 star read. While the story was interesting, and I liked the concept behind it, I felt like the characters were just a bit flat. I could tell they were attracted to each other, but I didn't really feel the chemistry as super sizzling. The story itself had really cool parts to it, and I loved the mystery surrounding the haunting.

George and Nick meet after many years at their 10 year high school reunion. They used to be close friends, but drifted apart as they got older. After a night together, both men have difficulty acknowledging their feelings run deeper than a one night stand. When they see each other again shortly after the reunion, they are given another chance to work things out...but then Nick's uncle leaves him an inheritance with the stipulation that he gets married. He asks George to go into a fake marriage with him, and George agrees. Of course, both guys are still struggling with their growing feelings, but the book read quickly and there wasn't an over abundance of angst and wishy washy behavior. I enjoyed reading about these guys, and loved getting to see Ryan and Jett again (from [b:Debut|34620147|Debut|Casey Ashwood|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1489867642s/34620147.jpg|55775121]).

Ryan is a single dad struggling to make ends meet and spend enough time with his kids. Ryan decides he wants to try writing again as a career. Jett is a famous author who goes a seminar about writing. He is a playboy bachelor who is not in any mood to settle down. Until he meets Ryan, that is. This book moved very quickly in the way of the relationship. Ryan is hesitant because of his kids and the fact that he is a widow; Jett is hesitant because he isn't into relationships. That all goes out the window, however, and they are dating and meeting the kids within 2 weeks. Luckily it worked for them. I loved Ryan's mom. She is a strong support to him, and I loved seeing that role in the book. I enjoyed this a lot.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, and I was just as thrilled with Jaco's story. We met Jaco in the last book as his cousin Eugenio and his work/life partner Denver helped him with an abusive boyfriend/criminal. Jaco is trying to get back on his feet, and meets one of their co-workers, Sean. They were great together, and Sean was adorable. It was also really nice to see Eugenio and Denver again. Great continuation!

I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC of this book that I received from the author

Cops - check
Partners - check
Best Friends - check
Falling in love - *sigh*

I really loved the dynamics between Denver and Eugenio. They truly knew each other, had each others back, and supported each other no matter what. Denver had been crushing on Eugenio for quite a few months (after a scary on the job incident), but Eugenio was clueless and thought he was straight. It wasn't until one of his dates points out that he can't stop talking about Denver that Eugenio starts to realize that there sometimes is a fine line between platonic love and romantic love. Once he opened himself up to the possibility of happiness with Denver, he found contentment that he hadn't experienced before.

I loved Denver's ex-wife and the relationship they had while co-parenting Pepper. It was refreshing to see parents put their children first, support each other, and not have any evil judgement for decisions they make. They accepted each other and that they were better off as friends/parents. The relationship was very healthy.

I really, really enjoyed this!
