Such an emotional book that has a lot going on and keeps the reader glued in wanting to see where the story takes us. When Megan was younger she went through an ordeal that no one seemed to notice except Lance and this created a bond between them that seemed like it would grow until one day lance up and leaves. This leaves Megan hurt and struggling, yet years later fate intervenes bringing them back into each other’s lives but not without some drama. Emotions are flying high and secrets are brought to the light that hurt, destroy, and yet mends them both to some extent. Megan kept hurting Lance because I think lashing out against him helped her deal with her emotions, did I like it and think she should have done it? No but this is how she was. Lance dealt with a lot from her and at times I even thought maybe he should have walked away, but their feelings and attraction wouldn’t allow that. Overall this book was great to tug on your heart strings, make you feel angry at thing that happen, and overall put your emotions through the ringer.

I have had Honeymoon For One on my TBR list for sometime now. It was the blurb that drew me in.

Ava was expecting to get married on Valentine's Day to Connor, her fiance. Connor, however, realising that he is not ready to settle down, tells Ava on New Year's Eve that he is calling the whole thing off.

Ava is devastated and cancels all the arrangements apart from the honeymoon. She decides to go on the honeymoon by herself. She flies to Verona where she mistakes Nico for the hotel driver.

Nico likes the idea that this beautiful woman has no idea who he is, and drives her to the hotel.

They are both aware of an attraction, but both have issues to overcome before they can consider the future.

Honeymoon For One is a quick and easy read. The characters are likeable and realistically drawn. There are the usual misunderstandings that look set to keep the couple apart, and a jealous ex-lover who is determined to snag Nico for herself. The ending leaves the reader excited for their future while wondering how their relationship could possibly work, given that they live and work in different countries.

A very sweet story, but also very trite and cliched.

Italy, contemporary romance

Pleasant novella with a sturdy heroine who works through the pain of having her cheating fiancé bail on her six weeks before the wedding. She has already paid for the honeymoon in Italy, so she goes alone to sort out her life. With some bumps in the road, life takes a turn for the better.

I freely chose to review this ARC, although I never read the first two books and only had a little trouble catching up with Ethan and Nadine's tale. I loved the way Nadine kept reminding Ethan that her money and the age difference meant nothing to her as the press labeled him a gold digger. I did understand how Nathan felt when he was homeless, dead broke, and only took the male escort position to help him get on his feet as he was a struggling artist. The two find themselves juggling overloaded work priorities that gave them little time alone.

An Unexpected Gift
Story of a female who's a graphic designer in London and she's attacked one night on her way home.
A man comes to her rescue and before the cops show up he's beaten up badly.

She assumes he's married when she goes to his house to give him a gift for saving her life.
Cops are on leads that will help them figure out who did it.
Good story, very scary at times.

This is my first read by Lily Zante and I will read more of her books. I really enjoyed this book as it was interesting, exciting and about Italy which is one place I’ve visited and love.

The story is about some women, Ava, who’s wedding is canceled because he decides he doesn’t think he loves her. So she cancels everything except the honeymoon and decides to go on her own to Italy. When she arrives, the person she thinks is the driver but really the son of the owner of the hotel she’s to stay at, Nico, is there and offers her a ride to the hotel. She finds him attractive and attentive and he finds it great to find someone who doesn’t really know who he is. The story goes on about her stay in Verona with Nico showing her the sights around town and their feelings of desire for each other undeniable. The author makes you want to visit Italy with the descriptions of the area. She also does a wonderful job of describing the characters to make them real. But Robin just got dumped and Nico’s in Italy. Does she really need to get in a dead-end relationship and for Nico, does he want to get involved with someone who isn’t sticking around? Well, maybe love might have something else to say about it.

I was slightly disappointed with the ending because it left you hanging and have to read the next book. That’s not always a good thing.

Aside from some minor grammatical errors, this book was written quite well. I love the flow of the book and the passion between Nadine and Ethan. The actual plot is a typical one, but cute none the less.

2.5 maybe 2.75. Nah, 2.5. This was a fun book, kind of. The characters were so one dimensional though. And the love story doesn't develop. It's just--wow is he hot in oil and a g string. THen, hunh, he's still hot with his clothes on. Then, surely I could hire him to pretend to be my boyfriend. Then, I'll just do him because hot. Then, of course I'm in love with him because size matters.

Really. That's what I got out of it. It was about a 4 hour read, if that. It was mildly entertaining. The writing was ok only--which is why I only gave the 2 star rating instead of a 3. The adjectives were often off-putting. And sometimes used incorrectly--to quote Inigo Montoya "You keep using that word. I do not think that means what you think it means." This wants proper editing.

Nadine is throwing her sister a bachelorette party when she meets Ethan one of the strippers that has shown up to her house. She hides out in her kitchen working when Ethan comes in after his dance, that she did witness, to talk to her.

Ethan has never seen such a pretty woman and wanted to get to know Nadine a bit more. They talk for a bit until it is time for him to leave.

At work Nadine has a bad boss that throws most of her work at her. A trip is coming up and Nandine needs a partner. She wants to impress the big boss so she calls Ethan to invite him along and offers to pay. They leave on the trip and things go great. At times there are misunderstandings but overall they are starting to like each other or so they think. Can they work things out?

The characters are great and get a long well with each other. At times Nadine treats Ethan badly and he stays with her through out the whole ordeal. He sees through her protecting herself. Nadine reads some things wrong and they have to work things out.

I enjoyed the story there are some mistakes but now a days what book doesn't have a few mistakes.

Ava is dumped by her fiancé' before their Valentine weeding he doesn't love her anymore and has been sleeping with someone else. Devastated she cancels all the wedding plans with the help of her sister. She does however keep one thing, her honeymoon plans. Why not go to Italy and forget what happened? She shows up to the airport and the driver ( Nico ) or so she thinks, from the hotel is there to pick her up.

Nico is captivated by this woman Ava and wants to make her happy. He drops her off at the hotel and orders her some clothes as her luggage was left behind but would arrive sometime the next day. He wants her stay to be nice as he could see she was upset over something.

During the time Ava as at the hotel Nico takes her where she needs to go and offers new places to visit. He also helps with her business. Ava is falling for Nico but knows he is holding back.

The book was good I liked reading it. Editing needs to be done more on this book. The Cliffhanger was for the series but it was a bit of a let down. I will read book 2 as I would like to see what happens.

Title: The Proposal

Review:

"The Proposal" by Lily Zante was a good romantic contemporary novel I found this novel a very enjoyable read that once you got into the novel you will be kept turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. I did like how this author put this together because from the title I was thinking something else entirely different than what was presented to the reader. The characters..Nadine, Zoe, Ethan, Sandra, and Melissa to name a few were found to be well developed and very captivating. If you are looking for a light romantic read with some twist you have come to the right place...for "The Proposal" will give it to you. Would I recommend? YES!

AN AMAZON REVIEW: Amazon reviewer

Nadine Stefano is a high flying career woman. She has no time for relationships and having been recently promoted at work, she wants to make a good impression with her boss. At her sister's bachelorette party Nadine meets Ethan who is one of the performers. She finds herself strangely drawn to him, despite her initial reservations.
A few weeks later, the company Nadine works for are holding their annual convention at a luxury hotel away from home. Not having a date to take with her, and wanting to present the image of a settled and happy woman in a relationship, Nadine resorts to calling Ethan at the escort agency and asking him along. Theirs is a strong attraction, although there are various company politics and characters that stand in their way.
Will their meeting lead to love, despite seemingly different career choices, or will Nadine dump Ethan in order to pursue her career goals?½
