Such an emotional book that has a lot going on and keeps the reader glued in wanting to see where the story takes us. When Megan was younger she went through an ordeal that no one seemed to notice except Lance and this created a bond between them that seemed like it would grow until one day lance up and leaves. This leaves Megan hurt and struggling, yet years later fate intervenes bringing them back into each other’s lives but not without some drama. Emotions are flying high and secrets are brought to the light that hurt, destroy, and yet mends them both to some extent. Megan kept hurting Lance because I think lashing out against him helped her deal with her emotions, did I like it and think she should have done it? No but this is how she was. Lance dealt with a lot from her and at times I even thought maybe he should have walked away, but their feelings and attraction wouldn’t allow that. Overall this book was great to tug on your heart strings, make you feel angry at thing that happen, and overall put your emotions through the ringer.… (plus d'informations)

I have had Honeymoon For One on my TBR list for sometime now. It was the blurb that drew me in.

Ava was expecting to get married on Valentine's Day to Connor, her fiance. Connor, however, realising that he is not ready to settle down, tells Ava on New Year's Eve that he is calling the whole thing off.

Ava is devastated and cancels all the arrangements apart from the honeymoon. She decides to go on the honeymoon by herself. She flies to Verona where she mistakes Nico for the hotel driver.

Nico likes the idea that this beautiful woman has no idea who he is, and drives her to the hotel.

They are both aware of an attraction, but both have issues to overcome before they can consider the future.

Honeymoon For One is a quick and easy read. The characters are likeable and realistically drawn. There are the usual misunderstandings that look set to keep the couple apart, and a jealous ex-lover who is determined to snag Nico for herself. The ending leaves the reader excited for their future while wondering how their relationship could possibly work, given that they live and work in different countries.

A very sweet story, but also very trite and cliched.
