Aside from some minor grammatical errors, this book was written quite well. I love the flow of the book and the passion between Nadine and Ethan. The actual plot is a typical one, but cute none the less. ( ) 2.5 maybe 2.75. Nah, 2.5. This was a fun book, kind of. The characters were so one dimensional though. And the love story doesn't develop. It's just--wow is he hot in oil and a g string. THen, hunh, he's still hot with his clothes on. Then, surely I could hire him to pretend to be my boyfriend. Then, I'll just do him because hot. Then, of course I'm in love with him because size matters. Really. That's what I got out of it. It was about a 4 hour read, if that. It was mildly entertaining. The writing was ok only--which is why I only gave the 2 star rating instead of a 3. The adjectives were often off-putting. And sometimes used incorrectly--to quote Inigo Montoya "You keep using that word. I do not think that means what you think it means." This wants proper editing. Nadine is throwing her sister a bachelorette party when she meets Ethan one of the strippers that has shown up to her house. She hides out in her kitchen working when Ethan comes in after his dance, that she did witness, to talk to her. Ethan has never seen such a pretty woman and wanted to get to know Nadine a bit more. They talk for a bit until it is time for him to leave. At work Nadine has a bad boss that throws most of her work at her. A trip is coming up and Nandine needs a partner. She wants to impress the big boss so she calls Ethan to invite him along and offers to pay. They leave on the trip and things go great. At times there are misunderstandings but overall they are starting to like each other or so they think. Can they work things out? The characters are great and get a long well with each other. At times Nadine treats Ethan badly and he stays with her through out the whole ordeal. He sees through her protecting herself. Nadine reads some things wrong and they have to work things out. I enjoyed the story there are some mistakes but now a days what book doesn't have a few mistakes. Title: The Proposal Author: Lily Zante Published: L.Z. Reviewed By: Arlena Dean Series: A Perfect Match #1 Rating: 4 Review: "The Proposal" by Lily Zante was a good romantic contemporary novel I found this novel a very enjoyable read that once you got into the novel you will be kept turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. I did like how this author put this together because from the title I was thinking something else entirely different than what was presented to the reader. The characters..Nadine, Zoe, Ethan, Sandra, and Melissa to name a few were found to be well developed and very captivating. If you are looking for a light romantic read with some twist you have come to the right place...for "The Proposal" will give it to you. Would I recommend? YES! AN AMAZON REVIEW: Amazon reviewer Nadine Stefano is a high flying career woman. She has no time for relationships and having been recently promoted at work, she wants to make a good impression with her boss. At her sister's bachelorette party Nadine meets Ethan who is one of the performers. She finds herself strangely drawn to him, despite her initial reservations. A few weeks later, the company Nadine works for are holding their annual convention at a luxury hotel away from home. Not having a date to take with her, and wanting to present the image of a settled and happy woman in a relationship, Nadine resorts to calling Ethan at the escort agency and asking him along. Theirs is a strong attraction, although there are various company politics and characters that stand in their way. Will their meeting lead to love, despite seemingly different career choices, or will Nadine dump Ethan in order to pursue her career goals? aucune critique | ajouter une critique
