Erin Hunter is the pen name of a quartet of writers and editors, namely: Kate Cary, Cerith Baldry, Tui T. Sutherland, and Victoria Holmes. Cary and Baldry are both writers from the United Kingdom. Sutherland, born in Venuezela, now lives in the United States. Holmes is a UK-born editor and creator afficher plus of the best-selling Warrior series. All are inspired by their love of cats. They are the authors of the Warrior, Seeker and Survivor Series. Warriors: A Vision of Shadows #6: The Raging Storm par Erin Hunter
Was it good? No. Was it worth reading? Maybe for the last third. Anything that wasn't Alderheart's POV felt like frustrating padding.
This is the first super edition I've read, and I really enjoyed it. I wasn't expecting to end up loving Moth Flight as a character quite as much as I did, but she was really enjoyable as a young mum character and I felt for her throughout. Bit disappointed that Rocky's addiction storyline didn't get tied up, and very upset that I can't immediately read on from this storyline to see what happens to the four kits and what the petals prophecy means, but all in all a very nice well-contained story.
Wow!! Who killed Ashfur?! And who's Lionblaze, Hollyleaf and Jayfeather's real mum?!
The errors are egregious: the allegiances are now an in-fandom joke, there are events entirely out of order, spelling and grammar mistakes galore, the infamous redtail/oakheart continuity error 2 full years after it was created; and Kate outright lied about enjoying writing a character "uneuncumbered by romance"* by doing exactly that in this book. Sometimes Warriors books are so bad they're funny to read. This is not one.
The graphic novels plainly hire continuity editors (and editors in general...), so purchase one of those instead.
