Life in a small town has always suited Paige Fredrick. She loves going to work near the courthouse square and riding her bike nearly anywhere she chooses. But after her divorce, she can hear her neighbors' whispers and the gossip mill churning. Everett Mullins has worries of his own as he finds himself back in his hometown, providing temporary care to his ailing mother while trying to run their family farm. A chance meeting reunites him with Paige, his crush from high school. But when he discovers her little white lie, he questions what they've started building. As Paige makes a new life, can she find direction with Everett? Or has too much damage already been done to navigate a romantic relationship built on a lie?… (plus d'informations)

Very sweet and cute romantic story. This was a G rated story and although those are great, I prefer a little more action and maybe a little more ummph! But, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a light and happy romance.

Paige is a recent divorcée with a 2 year old son, who runs into an old high school friend and learns there is life after divorce. ( )

Paige is just coming out of a divorce. She runs into an old friend and makes the snap-decision to tell a quick lie. What would it hurt - he’s not sticking around. She won’t see him again. Except nothing is that easy.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s well written with authentic characters that come to life and situations and reactions I bought into from the beginning. So much so that I almost stopped reading after the “big lie”, because I was so embarrassed for Paige. I did keep reading, though. And so glad I did. This is a book about healing, about forgiveness, and about trust. It’s a beautiful story, and I loved it. ( )

Paige Frederick is finding it hard to be divorced. The stigma that comes with it, the shame she feels, and she also is facing raising her two-year-old son on her own. A chance meeting of an old high school acquaintance on the afternoon of her finalized divorce sends her reeling, and she finds herself telling a lie to avoid judgement. Everett Mullins is in town helping his parents as his mother navigates treatment for cancer. He remembers Paige from high school, and discovers that after their chance meeting he is intrigued and wants to get to know Paige better.

Paige and Everett both nurse past hurts, and both are afraid to open up to the other. Paige is afraid to admit to Everett that she lied, but discovers herself enjoying spending time with him. It is a sweet story of old acquaintances, life's hardships and how hard it is sometimes to just live your life and be comfortable in your own skin. I can see this as a perfect beach read. The characters are well written and not too perfect for belief. Completely enjoyable. I was pleased to receive an advance copy from Library Thing in exchange for an honest review. ( )

I thought this was a pretty good book. It was a quick, easy romance type book. I wish that there had been a little bit more at the end but over all the story line was nice. ( )

An easy read love story that warms your heart. Life can be hard but even harder if you don't tell the truth! Good characters and story line. Makes me wish I lived in a small town! ( )
