Nothing is as it seems in Cedar Point, Indiana. Three gang members appear to have died of natural causes. Then the medical examiner completes the autopsies and discovers the victims are missing their brains. When something strange rears its ugly head, the police turn to Chase Dagger. Aided by a partner who is a shapeshifter, unique high-tech toys, and a team of unusual cohorts, Dagger has a way of solving the most bizarre crimes. Although the case is intriguing, Dagger has something more important to deal with. It appears BettaTec, a shadow corporation he used to work for, has finally located him and they need his help. Refusing isnt an option because BettaTec knows about Sara and her shapeshifting abilities. To keep his partner safe, he has no choice but to work with BettaTec again. The 6th in the award-winning Chase Dagger series combines mystery with urban fantasy. Critics call it MacGuyver meets Dark Angel.… (plus d'informations)

Great imagination. I would've not picked this book off the shelf. Its a mind-blowing story. I've would have never guessed how the brain was vaporizer. Scary thought if that was true in real life. Thank you for a amazing book! Great story! Keep it coming !!!! ( )

Vaporizer by Lee Driver is an intriguing book. The pacing was good, and it held my interest. There were some references that I'm sure had more meaning, but this is the first book in the series that I've read. Even with that the author gave enough backstory without info dumping that I was able to keep up. There were a few typos here and there, but that is becoming more and more common in publishing these days. ( )

As a lover of paranormal, and interest in serial killer novels, The Vaporizer is about the best mix I could ask for. I received this book as a giveaway, and was the first book for me to read in the Chase Dagger series. I enjoyed the inclusion of fantasy in a modern type detective mystery. I look forward to seeking out other Chase Dagger novels, as well as other writings by Lee Driver. ( )

I won this book here on librarything.com in the member giveaways. I started the book and was instantly hooked. The main characters are a detective and a few team members, and a shapeshifter woman who can turn into a hawk or a wolf and/or use their vision and senses while still in human form. I loved the excitement and mystery in the book, and absolutely loved the characters! Awesome job by the author.... Loved It! ( )

“The Vaporizer” by Lee Driver is a fast-paced detective novel with a paranormal twist. This sixth book in the Chase dagger series is full of mystery as this story unfolds within a backdrop of unknowns. The characters are believable and easy to like as are the villains making this a believable read. Very suspenseful as our lead characters find their way in and out of dangerous situations while discovering and unexpected romance. A good read for any day, looking forward to book seven. ( )
