Welcome and Introductions

Welcome to the Anne of Green Gables Group Read! The idea for a group read started on the 1010 Category Challenge, and the thread in that group is here:

It seemed to me that it was going to get a bit unwieldy, particularly if we began discussing other books, so I decided to start a separate group.

All who want to discuss Anne of Green Gables or any other books by or about Lucy Maud Montgomery are welcome to join in.

I found another Group on L.M. Montgomery -- "Kindred Spirits":

It has some interesting information and comments, but isn't very active and doesn't specifically discuss the books. Plus, I didn't want to take over their group for our Group Read, so thought it better to start a new group to discuss the books.

I've posted some questions to get us started, and will try to get back later to post my thoughts. I hope everyone will feel free to post additional questions or topics for discussion.

Thanks for getting this started! I'm just starting to reread Anne of Green Gables so I hope to be posting more soon!

>1 ivyd: Would you object to this group being folded into the Kindred Spirits group? I think there are some discussions here it would be a shame to lose permanently once the group changes go into effect. I wish I'd known about this group back when it was more active. I regularly re-read Montgomery and could easily have joined in!
