4th Annual Peace Conference in DC

Hopefully some of the folk who utilize LibraryThing and are members of "Readers for Peace" were able to attend the conference this past weekend. I have several words to sum it all up ... amazing, inspiring, awesome and informative. Yes, the weather was cold, but the feelings inside the conference were warm and congenial. It was lovely meeting new members of the NY State & NYC DoP team. You are all terrific folk. The many speakers, singers, info, slideshows ... lent itself to a powerful weekend. I've heard that many attendees to the conference had meetings with the congressional leaders. Sincerely hope it went well and that progress was made, no matter what the rightwing media might say. Rise above and strive for a better tomorrow. Since I showed up early on Saturday morning, I received a free Dr Marshall Rosenberg book, which I'm glancing through since then. Peace & Love to all!!
