I love how this group has no posts. Sure, there were just two of you before I came, but I rather think it says something about the nature of system administrators.

Yeah, we're kinda strange huh?

I have to say, I'm not just the LT sysadmin, I'm also one of the programmers and I had a piece of code I wanted out before the end of Hanukkah. No, I'm not Jewish, but it was a good deadline date to use :-)

So, since you guys know what I do... what do you guys do?

I'm a System Administrator! That's just one of my things, though. I have degrees in philosophy and medical ethics, and I occasionally teach, but computers pay the bills. I run a law firm network (see my other post "The system I administrate"), and am also their webmaster, and write the ASP code that makes that website dynamic, and I design dynamic websites for other people occasionally. LibraryThing has impressed me to no end! So here are kudos to you and all the LT programmers.

Hey, thanks for inadvertently finding a bug with the "change username" script!

Thanks, too for the kind words. Right now (and for the past few months) the 'LT programmers' are just Tim and myself :-)

I wondered if that was a bug, and whether you knew about it and decided to keep it! After all, it would be true that those old posts were made by me as my old user name. Destroys the continuity of conversation somewhat, but still accurate. I was just glad to be able to change my user name: I paid for my membership, and then decided I hated it -- thought I was stuck with it!

Keep up the good work!
