I am the editor of Plumbstone's new Masonic annual, Ahiman: A Review of Masonic Arts & Letters. The "6009" issue is nearing completion. I thought that the librarything crowd might be an ideal field to hunt for writers.
Ahiman aims to publish articles that focus on Masonic symbolism, arts, and philosophy, rather than just history. If one is familiar with Parabola magazine, that is somewhat close to the format we're seeking to emulate.
Articles of up to 5-20 pages are ideal. Poems are also accepted. Let me know if you have anything to submit.

Hi Shawn -- I had a chapter on Masonry in my book (shift-of-ages.com) that I ended up cutting at the last minute, but a lot of the material is being reworked for an article in Theosophical History. I also have an article on the mysticism of Masonry in the next issue (#2) of my POD magazine Theophanies (theophaniesmag.com).

Is Ahriman still an active publication?

Not sure why you got a page-not-found, minfo... that's the website for Philalethes, which I currently edit. Ahiman is still active, also, but is delayed because of my primary responsibility to the quarterly Philalethes journal.

Thanks. It was a real honor to be selected, and I am grateful for the support I have received from Fellows such as yourself.

Just a note that after many years of careful preparation, the first edition of Ahiman: A Review of Masonic Culture & Tradition (referenced in the first message of this thread, Dec 4., 2008!) was finally issued and is available from http://plumbstone.com/_ahiman/ It is getting very positive reviews so far.
Ahiman is a neither an academic journal nor a magazine, but a literary and cultural review similar in style to many established titles such as Parabola, Daedalus, or The Hoover Digest.
Anyone interested in writing for future volumes of this anthology should message me privately. The next volume will not appear until a sufficient amount of high quality material is ready.
