Non-Scholastic DA-inspired books.

So I've been thinking about getting some of the Mon Histoire & Diarios Mexicanos books, since my French is pretty good, and I'm learning Spanish quickly. Has anyone read these & and can tell me if they're like DA at all?

I bought one of the Mon Histoire books when I was in Quebec. I can't read French but I thought it was a really pretty book for my collection so I bought it. The layout looks a lot like Dear America. There are diary entries from a girl, then a historical note/historical pictures at the end.
