more privacy controls?

(Or maybe this exists and I am just not looking in the right place)

Is it possible to set some of my collections to public and others to private?? I feel like more sensitive privacy controls would be more beneficial to me than the ability to set individual books as private one at a time. It would also help make things less complex when sharing a collection link with someone who is not familiar with the site.

The set individual books as private is a broken feature that doesn't work.
Right now, the only real privacy feature that exists is either the entire library is private or it is public.
Would it be nice to have more privacy options? Sure

But a question: Since a book can be in more than one collection, how to do balance between a book being in both a private collection and a public collection?

Oh lol that explains a lot.

I would think: show the book when the public collection is being viewed, but keep any private collections viewable to the user only??

Well, since the book privacy is such a mess, I can't imagine collection privacy coming anytime in the foreseeable future.

What you can do is create a TinyCat with only those collections that want to show to most people. It won't hide the others from LT users, but make it less likely that people you give the TinyCat URL to will find them.

>4 MarthaJeanne: More's the pity, but I think you're right.
