Any initial thoughts on the murder having being given the basic facts about the murder investigation? Was this a well run case? Did anything hit you at all from this basic information on the case?

It seems apparent that the investigators were not that interested in what actually happened. I'm sure they thought being killed was just collateral damage in her job.

Shoddy workmanship. Or a cover up.
Lots of room for suspicion, I thought.

They were not really interested in finding out about the murderer. It seems that it was a result of being a prostitute.

Sadly, prostitutes have the highest rate of unsolved cases simply because as everyone has said...they are "disposable" collateral. Believe it or not a jury is actually more likely to not convict if the victim was a prostitute.... female or male. Of course, the male variety opens an entirely new can of worms. Everyone is right...they weren't interested. Gives an entire new meaning to "liberty and justice for all."

My thoughts are an investigation to fill out the paperwork then file it away as unsolved for the purpose of covering up something or someone.

Definitely not great work on this case, and you can hear the ‘it’s only a prostitute’. Very poor and almost feels as if it was shut don’t because of some of the people involved, E.g. Conklin.

I think it was a cover-up. Conklin was obviously one of Marjorie's customers and the file has been scrubbed to erase that.

I agree wth >6 JohnDBurke:. It certainly seems like a cover-up.

Yes, it was shoddy in part because she was a prostitute and >5 Carol420: they are not given the same consideration when they are dead. But there were enough loose ends that it began to look like a cover-up.
