Should Painter use the fact Amanda is still alive to try and save Sigma?

Yes - sigma is her best chance at the moment. The search for her needs to be kept quiet so that The Guild isn’t alerted to the fact that people know she’s still alive

It sounds like what the readers would probably want to happen, but I don't believe it would be the right thing to do. I don't think at this point that rather Amanda is alive, or dead is the issue and is only the tip of the iceberg for Sigma...it's what's happening in the that big white house on the hill and the family of the leader of the free world. How and who there is involved will be what saves Sigma. Of course, we know that there are many more books in the series...so...

Knowing that Amanda is alive should be enough reason to go and try to save her and Sigma at the same time.

I think they should rescue Amanda but I don't think they should let the Gants know what their plans are. I think they should continue to stay "under the radar" as long as possible.

No. He needs to find Amanda and try to discover what role the President plays in the Guild. Revealing that Amanda was not the body found in Somalia will not save Sigma….and it will tip off the kidnappers that they are still being hunted

No I feel they have more chance at being successful if he keeps the information about Amanda being alive secret.
