Why were they so desperate for the baby, that they planned to carry out a C-Section? Why not wait?

They must have known or suspected that someone was on to them, and it may have caused them to speed up their plans and not take the chance that Amanda along with the baby would be taken from them.

They seem to be limited in time to find out what they are looking for.

Needed to be out of there before the enemy arrived.

They realized their location had been compromised so move up the time table and attack the Sigma Team.

Easier to evacuate, knowing the ‘enemy’ were closing in.

I agree with you all......they needed to beat a hasty exit.

There must be a timetable we're not aware of as yet. Remember there is someone yet unknown party calling the shots whose real endgame we are not yet aware of.
