Hi! I read a book about 15 years ago about a family that runs a small farm in the UK and opens it up as a small summer camp or vacation spot for city kids to come and stay and learn about farming life. It was a true story, possibly set in the 1960s? I read it 15 or so years ago, but I think I remember that it was published some time ago, 1970's maybe? I remember laughing so much at all of the tales of mischief the animals and children got into. It was a delightful read and I'd love to read it again. It was possibly part of series. One of the main characters or the author may have been named Faith or Faye? Not positive about that part but it kinda rings a bell when I think of the book. Thanks for any help!

It was a series. And the BBC made a series of it with Pauline Quirke and Warren Clarke, called Down To Earth (which is the title of the third book in the series) As with most adaptations, the first series followed the books fairly closely, then it veered off.
The story starts in 1975, as the second book features the big drought of 1976.
