Louis L'Amour Shared Read Challenge for 2021

Does any one want to do a Louis L'Amour shared read challenge next year? If we do, what do we want to read? Post your thoughts here and if we get enough interest I'll host it next year.

>1 SilverWolf28: a few of us read the Sackett series in 2019 and Talon/Chantry this year, but I'm open to almost anything L'Amour.

I do have a couple suggestions for themes or groups of books, with a recommendation that we alternate between the two lists.

L'Amour at the movies would include those made into movies (as well as Hondo, which was written after the movie based on L'Amour's "The Gift of Cochise"). I've pulled several using the IMDB list (with some help from Wikipedia) as a guide, and we could choose six.

My other suggestion would be short story collections published while L'Amour was alive. I've listed several, but there are a few more that could be added.

If there's more L'Amour going next year, I'm in. I know it's a small group of readers, but I enjoy the friendliness of this little corner of LT. Prior to these group reads, I'd seldom read him, even though he was my father's favorite author.

For the record, I have followed along all of 2020, reading the books with you all, except for the one month whose title wasn't at my library. My husband retired last year, and I find that, now, I don't have the time to chatter on LT as much as I have previously. So, I apologize for not updating posts on your thread as I do my readings. I keep up with my updates on the various wikis, but as L'Amour isn't a wiki, I'm afraid I neglect posting.
