January was a crazy month for me, so I am just getting around to joining this year's group and setting some goals. I am going to stick with a goal of 25 books this year again. I count any book I have owned for a month or more.
I am a middle high school librarian so I read a lot of YA and middle grade but I am also a big fantasy fan. For the last couple years I have been trying to branch out a bit and read other genres. It has been a very enjoyable endeavor and I've discovered some great books I wouldn't have read otherwise.

Just finished my first ROOT of March - No Good Deed which was gifted to me about a year ago. It was a YA retelling of Robin Hood featuring a female Robin Hood. It was light and enjoyable, but nothing spectacular.

I've been flying through the ROOTS this month - partly because I made a point of reading a few books that were gifted to me, and partly because my daughter hasn't been sleeping well. I've been spending a lot of time laying in bed with her, reading on my kindle...
So far this month, I've read Wallbanger, A Curious Beginning (which was soooo good!), Crooked Kingdom, and Allegedly
It's been a good month of reading!

Best wishes that the good reading continues – and that your daughter sleeps better!

Finished another book on my kindle last night - Stalking Jack the Ripper. This one didn't really live up to the hype for me, as I guessed the killer almost immediately.

I finished Susanna Kearsley's The Winter Sea the other night - I'll definitely be seeking out more of her books! I loved it!
