Novelist and critic Charles Simmons died June 1 at age 92. He wrote Powdered Eggs.

Peter Sallis - who played Cleggy and voiced Wallace - died on June 2nd. His autobiography is Fading into the Limelight: The Autobiography.

Helen Dunmore born in December 1952 died on June 5th. An obit in today's "The Times" (London) but afraid it will be behind a pay wall. She wrote some poetry and also books for children. "A Spell in Winter" deals with brother-sister incest and won the first Orange Prize for fiction in 1996. Burning Bright deals with teenage prostitution in Finland.
