Hey All! Just returned from 10-day visit to South Carolina. Based out of Orangeburg, made couple or 3 day trips to Charleston. Lunched at Poogan's Porch and tried the alligator appetizer. Visiting The Wife (see the who we are topic); we went to the Kenny Chesney concert in Columbia, and the Bonnie Raitt concert in Charleston. I spent a day at Patriot's Point, and a day at the SC State Museum in Columbia.

And we visited 1st Presbyterian Church in Columbia (Sunday Morning service): I have read Thornwell's bio by Palmer, and read a bunch of Thornwell's theological essays, so getting to 1st Pres was neat!

Of course, 10 straight days with The Wife was best of all.

Marfita: that was 3rd trip to the Midlands. I was there on business last June (plus the weekend with The Wife, there on business every week). I was in SC for a couple of days lat Thanksgiving week, which were damp and rainy, for the holiday weekend we went up to Asheville, NC (Biltmore Estates) to celebrate 13th wedding anniversary weekend.

If I could get the daughters to relocate, and the best parts of our house (custom cut-glass windows), ... Someday I'll drive down and bring the English Setter, she would love it.
