I used to teach English at community colleges and live in Oakland with my son and our parakeet named Googled. WE MISS THE BAY AREA! Now, I've completed grad school in Massachusetts, studying education, and am working in Chicago at another community college. While books have always been important to me, what really drove me to need them was boredom. A bad job led me to my first addiction (chocolate), and the need to have a good book on me at all times. I love spicy food, swimming, dancing, and small, dense stories. I'm not fond of epics. I love the human mind and themes around memory or relationships.
