Keith Istre is a south central Louisiana native born on the Wednesday afternoon of June 10, 1970. His father is a welder and mother a rosary maker. He is the only brother of two older sisters.

Now thirty-seven, Keith Istre recently moved from New Orleans to New York City due to Hurricane Katrina. In New Orleans, he was an active member and 2005 Consort of The Lords of Leather Mardi Gras Krewe. He was also a member of New Orleans’s DRAMA! theatre group as a writer, directer and light and sound tech.

ADAM AND STEVE, Keith Istre’s first produced play was in the spring of 2003 which he wrote and directed at the Marigny Theatre. His second was written, produced and directed by himself in the summer of 2005. He is always working on new projects, which includes a try at novel writing.
