A propos de ma bibliothèque

Books everywhere—in bookcases and in several piles. My favorite genre is mystery, favoring historical and psycholgical, but with a little of everything. Also historicals of many eras, favorites being books by Dorothy Dunnett and Mary Renault. Also classics. Plus a kink for gay romance. I love to reread favorites, The Lord of the Rings, The Great Gatsby, All The King’s Men, The Brothers Karamazov.

A propos de moi

I have an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Oregon, and a BA in Pictorial Arts from UCLA, and have read, written, and created art from childhood. I love to cook and have won prizes for my chocolate desserts. I love to bead and have experimented in creating perfumes based on Paris and the characters in my Paris mysteries.

I love to travel and have visited many countries in Europe. I lived for two years in Indonesia. Paris would be my dream home, but I currently live happily in the San Francisco area with my husband Richard and two rescue cats, Charlotte and Emily, and the Flying Bronte Sisters.

I’m finishing my Paris Trilogy, novels set in the Belle Époque and hope to do more with these characters. The first of these, Floats the Dark Shadow, won several Indie awards. Before that I published four historical romances variously set in the Italian Renaissance, Medieval England, and Elizabethan England. I’ll soon be republishing these under my own name of Gayle Feyrer.
