A propos de ma bibliothèque

I have a few books by and about J.R.R. Tolkien. Duplicate titles are listed. Books with the same ISBN are listed only once.

If it has an ISBN or is bound and covered, it is listed here - including audio books, digital audio books, and consumables.

The tag WGM means I'm saving it for the grandkids. MIA means that at least one copy of this is missing (and presumed gone for good).

A propos de moi

There are always kids in my house, so there are also many childrens', YA and activity books. I used to trade in sci/spec-fi and fantasy books, because that's what I most like to read... the collection was more fluid back then. I own nothing that I would not sell (given the proper incentive - a few of the Tolkien titles would require generosity that people might find hard to justify, lol), and I have only so much space to dedicate to books, so they used to filter in and out of my personal collection quite a bit. Lately they only filter in, and more slowly.

In 2009, my librarything was mostly finished. And then, several crazy things happened, and I stopped working on it. I've acquired, sold, and lost some things since then! Most recently, several boxes of books were in my moving truck when it was stolen right off the street, and recovered empty a week later. Most of those boxes contained what was left of unsold store inventory, and books I had decided not to keep, so it might have been much worse. I had a whole house to remodel after that move, and the books have come out of boxes only slowly, so I am still taking stock of what was stolen... Librarything is helping me get it sorted, and getting sorted at the same time :) Happy reading, book people! Catch you later.
