A propos de ma bibliothèque

From our website:

The Lewis County Historical Museum is the principle repository of the distinct and complete history of Lewis County. We hold over 1,000 books; 5,000 documents, manuscripts, maps, aerial photo and Metsker maps, as well as pieces of ephemera (everyday printed material such as pamphlets, newspaper cuttings, advertising brochures); 23,000 historical photographs; oral history transcripts. Some specific resources in the Research Library collection include the Polk County Directories for Lewis County, local school annuals, cemetery records, and various materials relating to Lewis County communities, businesses, persons, and events. All chronicling the vast history of “the mother of all counties”.

If you would like to utilize our Research Library come into the Museum located at 599 NW Front Way, Chehalis, WA 98532 during regular business hours and we would be more than happy to help research a topic or family records for you. Access to the Research Library is free for Lewis County Historical Society/Museum members or is included in Museum admission
