I love books that take me away on fantastic journeys. Books that inspire and move me, that make me laugh, ponder and question. I believe in the transformative power of stories, and the books in my library have all transformed me, in some way or another.

I'm the author of fantasy novels The Other Tree and Hunt for Valamon, and my short story 'Morning Star' (from the anthology One Small Step) was shortlisted for an Aurealis Award.

I graduated from UNSW with a degree in Psychology, pursuing my interest in both social justice and scientist humour. I'm fond of cephalopods, androids, global politics, rugged horizons, science and technology podcasts, and my favourite fossil deposit is the Burgess Shale.
