I'm surprised I liked this book as well as I did. It was written with an oddly passive voice. Which for once didn't really annoy me. I enjoyed reading about polo. The heroine was a very young woman and came across that way instead of seeming older than her stated years. The hero was an ordinary young man. Well other than being a polo player. Anyway he didn't know what to do relationship wise and made mistakes but they worked to stay together. I really enjoyed the joy he took in having sex with his wife. You could almost see the grin on his face. There was a bunch of sex which read rather oddly considering the passive voice but it wasn't bad. Except that there was a f/f scene which may not bother some readers but I do not enjoy any same sex interaction whether male or female so I just skimmed quickly past that part. I did like their discussion about it afterwards though. Anyway it was interesting and worth reading if you can accept the passive voice.… (plus d'informations)

There's certainly a lot of sex in the "Royal Bondage" anthology by three Ellora's Cave authors. You may want to take note of this moment where I say, "Maybe there was just a bit too much sex in this book." Whew...glad I got that out of the way! When I start to feel like I'm reading bits of plot between sex scenes--well, that says it all, doesn't it?

Llewellyn's Song by Samantha Winston was the longest at 96 pages and my favorite of the three. A tale of historical fantasy, elves and looming danger, my beef with Winston is where the story stops. They are about to go to war and the story ends! Argh.

Arctic Dragon was Delilah Devlin's contemporary contribution about a lost dragon and an Ice princess. This one was only 77 pages and felt incomplete to me.

Marianne LaCroix finishes out the anthology with Scorpion King-an 87-page futuristic story. After ruining their planet, humans have used science to adapt their bodies to living in places other than the planet's surface. This story is about an underwater Queen and her foretold Scorpion King who will arrive at a time of great trial and help her save her people.

All three were obviously hot (see my earlier 'too much sex' comment) but none made me wish the tales were longer. Nuff said?

OK. "Lady Jaided's Sexy Smiles" is an anthology of six stories from six authors doing erotic humor. Some were a hit, some were OK, and some totally missed for me. All of these were originally e-published as 'Quickies' so you may (as I was) be bummed to find you've already read a couple.

Betty and the Beast by S.L. Carpenter. A very different, and erotic, take on Beauty and the Beast.

Deadline by Marly Chance. Co-workers who 'go for it' and get more than they bargained for.

The Phallus from Dallas by Samantha Winston & Ciarra Sims. Do I really need to explain this one?

1-800-SEX4YOU by Chris Tanglen & Michelle Bardsley. Written from alternating points of view and one of the funniest for me.

Redial 1-800-SEX4YOU by Chris Tanglen & Michelle Bardsley. Stars a friend from the previous story finding her happily ever after.

The Frog Prince of Planet Marecage by Samantha Winston. Ummm, I bet you can figure this one out.

All of them were erotic. But for me only some were funny...the rest were more, well, stupid. It's hard to write short erotic stories and I get that...or maybe it's my sense of humor that's faulty.
