Reverend Laurin J. Wenig is a priest of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and pastor of Holy Family Parish in Whitefish Bay. He taught biblical studies at Sacred Heart School of Theology in Hales Corner, Wisconsin, and has published numerous articles and poetry.

An Introduction to the Old Testament: Journey into… par Laurin J. Wenig
Just what it says: an introduction. The commentary on the books is along the lines of their appearance in history rather than in the order of the Bible itself. The commentary attempts to describe the circumstances of the Hebrew people: the threats, the faithfulness, the general situation. This would be an excellent text for an introductory course wherein one would read the suggested selections as one progressed through the text. I think the author did an excellent job.
