This volume commences with a poem titled ‘Go On, Tell Me the Season Is Over'. It is a very obscure piece. There is no obvious reference to football in the poem except the reference to October as ‘golden times’, meaning presumably that time after the football has finished. Two stanzas.

Damien Chubb is a former footballer who works as a private detective, hired to find a kidnapped full forward in this comic detective novel.
