Decent story, but too much going on (some political stuff at the end that was added on rather sloppily).

Vera is an African-American woman on the Main Line, trying to break into the bourgeoisie in Philadelphia. She tries to marry in, scheming to find her man. She works as a clothes model in a black department store.
