New World: An Anthology of Sci-Fi and Fantasy par C. Spike Trotman
Oof - I'd been picking at this for so long, then finally read it straight through. So many of the stories I'd read more than a year ago had become classic in my mind, so I was surprised to see them again in this anthology. It's a good one.

The Sleep of Reason: An Anthology of Horror
Mixed bag, as any anthology will be. Some just needed a few more pages, some would have been better off with fewer, most just weren't scary. Lots of really good art, though.

I particularly liked: The Child Eater, I Want To Wake Up, The Untimely Death of Smokey ll, Temple, Miracle, and It Comes Back.

The Girl Who Married a Skull: and Other African… par Mary Cagle
I have read a few graphic novel anthologies now, and it's always interesting to see how different artists take the same theme and illustrate them differently. These illustrated fables were a lot of fun to read, though I don't know the original stories and so can't compare these versions to any other tellings.

Yes, Roya: An Erotic Graphic Novel par C. Spike Trotman
A young cartoonist seeks out a mentor for his cartooning career but finds himself being schooled in a whole different way of life instead.

It's sexually explicit and fun, with a little dramatic story thrown in to boot. Set in the 1960s, I do feel the story sidesteps a lot of racial issues that should play a bigger part, but it's obviously going for something else as it centers itself on the white male lead's coming of age.

The last page really makes me want to rewatch the similar but much better Professor Marston and the Wonder Women.… (plus d'informations)
