I LOVED THIS BOOK!! Although I wrinkled my nose at Leon's "art", I slapped myself because beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Leon and his mom struggled to survive when his dad left when he was two years old. Once he was a man, his mom contracted cancer and she was given a two per cent chance to live so she went to swim with the fish to spare her son. Poor Leon lost himself in world travels before he finally settled in one place. I loved that Leon renewed the faith that he had lost. I loved that Sophie was still close to her dad as her mom had died giving birth to her. and he had broken his leg falling on the cobblestones in front of his art gallery it was Sophie who put her manual writing position to manage the gallery.… (plus d'informations)

If you aren't a believer, and religious overtones bother you, this isn't the book for you. There were many sermons preached through the course of the book. But, since I do believe, I both expected and appreciated them. Good life lessons for one like me.

The story itself was simplistic, but sweet, and relatively well told. The editing was spotty, but not abysmal, I've read MUCH worse.

I cried my eyes out at parts. The HEA was appreciated.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review

Sabine was a model with a very promising career until a tragic car accident damaged her legs. She now works as a real estate agent and seems to be content to be somewhat a loner. Has Sabine really recovered from the accident that cost her a job she loved? Does she have some emotional issues that need to be addressed about that fateful day?

Aidan Ming works security for Sabine's sister . He enjoys his work and has taken an interest in Sabine. He finds her intriguing but feels there are walls she has built around her which prevent any relationship to develop. Ming is determined to break that barrier and comes up with a plan. He hires Sabine to sell his house so he can spend more time with her. Ming must consider if getting close to Sabine is a good idea. Will their interest in each other spell danger for one of them? Who was the caller that convinced Sabine they were interested in looking at a house, but mysteriously never showed up for the appointment?

I loved the two main characters and how the author slowly develops an attraction between them. As they begin to feel a sense of fondness for each other, the author shows us how each of them must rely on God to see them through some difficult decisions. The story is well written with a graceful story that takes the characters along a road of faith, love and trust in the Lord. The story has a flair of intrigue which gives the story a good mixture of a love story and action that keeps the story interesting.

I love reading books by Jan Thompson because she always delivers a good clean story with a bit of mystery that equals a well written story that you can't put down.

Abilene is an artist that enjoys expressing herself through the strokes of her brush. She is content to paint most of the day, while also teaching art classes for extra income. She lives in Savannah and calls a small apartment her home . One of her paintings called, Lady and the Sea" has gotten the attention from a man named Lars. He seems to find her wherever she happens to be and is determined to find out who the woman is in the picture.

His uncanny need to find this woman has caused Abilene irritation. Why can't he just go back home and leave her alone? Slowly Lars begins to build a friendship with Abilene , but still insists that she tell him who the woman is in the painting. Why is Abilene so secretive about the painting? Abilene is guarded with her feelings for him, but slowly her heart begins to open to a relationship with him.

Lars soon is mesmerized by the gift Abilene has for painting pictures that captures true beauty and visits the Simons Gallery where her art is displayed. As their relationship starts to thrive , there is an unexpected visitor that could change their lives forever. Will Abilene still want to be with Lars when she finds out who this visitor is?

The author has written a story that shares a deep relationship with Christ between both Abilene and Lars. This foundation will draw them closer to each other as they both express their trust in Him for their future. The scriptures that the author has throughout the book is placed perfectly to blend with the story. I was impressed with the way the story flowed with grace and gradually built a mutual attraction between the characters. Lars had said to Abilene "your paintings linger long in my mind after I've seen them." When I read that line, I though how His words linger in our mind and how a story that is written so well, will linger with you forever. The author has written a touching story that will stay with you long after the last word is read. Let the story linger with you and touch you with love, grace and hope.
