Good article about urban land use policies as reflections of a "post-political" logic of consensus technocratic governance that radically rejects that which does not adapt to its pluralist model--examples in this context including the vicious discourse around native land claims, the one-sided discourse around gentrification in places like Vancouver's Downtown Eastside and the othering of neighbourhood residents being forced out, and the reclaimation of working-class industrial areas as lesure spaces catering to the urban professional.
